MVLA provides temporary Online Health options for 2026-2027 school year

As a result of the change made to the graduation requirements in December 2025 after the Ethnic Studies course was shortened to a single semester, the district is offering flexibility for the 2026-2027 school year in meeting the Health graduation requirement. These options are solely for current 9th, 10th, and 11th graders who were impacted by the change in graduation requirements mid-year.

The classes of 2027, 2028, and 2029 may request to take Health in-seat and we will work to accommodate all in-seat requests. Additionally, they now have the option for one year to take the free online Health courses through Imagine Learning EdgeEx (Edgenuity), or the MVLA Adult School during the 2026-2027 school year.

If students elect to wait for a later time to fulfill their Health requirement, they, along with the class of 2030 (Fall 2026, 9th graders) and beyond, will take in-seat Health per Administrative Regulation (AR) 6146.11.

Emergency Information for Parents/Families

The new websites have added an "In an Emergency" button on the district's home page with links from each of the school's home pages to information for parents and families about what to do in the event of an emergency.

The most important thing you can do today to ensure that you are informed during an emergency during school hours is to check that we have the correct contact information in Aeries and familiarize yourself with ParentSquare.

E- Bike Safety Information

With changing weather and an uptick in bike and e-bike use, it's worth reminding our students to exercise caution when riding. In January, Senator Josh Becker hosted an informative virtual town hall that noted the differences between e-bikes and e-motos as well as important legal considerations and safety guidelines.
