Mountain View Police Department ordered a Code Red alert for the Mountain View and Alta Vista High School campuses today, May 11, 2009 at approximately 11:30am.  A recently enrolled Alta Vista High School student was in a conference with the administration at that site.  Police had been called to deal with the student's issues on that campus.  The student bolted from the meeting and ran across the Mountain View High School campus.  Police pursued the young man and requested the site to implement a lock down (Code Red).  The quick reaction by the site and the police ended the pursuit within minutes. There were no weapons involved.  The student was arrested and removed from MVHS without incident.  The lock down ended at approximately 11:45am.
