Applicable participants who requested substitute coverage on the CI application will be emailed the link to the Informed K12 CI Absence Report Form.
Frontline Absence Request - REQUIRED
Note: All staff must submit their absences in Frontline, even if they do not need substitute coverage. This is required so the sites know who will not be on campus or in the classroom and to keep our records accurate.
  • Submit absence request in  Frontline before your approved CI activity
    • Select Curriculum Insitute as the reason code
    • Enter the CI reference number highlighted below in the notes section.
Substitute Coverage
Note: This step is mandatory if you require a substitute during your approved CI activity, even if another MVLA staff member is the substitute.
  • Submit a CI Absence Report Form - this sheet will be emailed to applicable staff members who are part of approved CI activities with substitute coverage.
    • Ensure that the hours you list on the form match the duration hours in Frontline.
    • Select your site principal as the next approver.
      • Your absence form will be shared with your site principal's assistant and the business department via Informed K12.
    • Do not fill out the general school business absence report form for your substitutes connected to your CI activity.
