Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervening Services (CCEIS)
The California Department of Education identified Mountain View-Los Altos High School District as one of over 100 districts across the state showing “significant disproportionality.”
MVLA is significantly disproportionate in identifying Latino students as children with disabilities and, specifically, with Specific Learning Disability, at a higher rate than their peers of other races.
Because of this pattern of significant disproportionality, the CDE has mandated that MVLA develop and submit a Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervening Services (CCEIS) Plan.
The MVLA CCEIS plan aims to create a more equitable educational system that proactively addresses and mitigates factors leading to disproportionality, ensuring all students have access to appropriate educational opportunities and supports.
