Student Leaders in the “Spotlight”

Both MVHS and LAHS have busy, highly engaged student leadership groups: the ASBs or Associated Student Body. They organize special events, dances, clubs and boost school spirit.

At the April 8 Board of Education meeting, more than 20 ASB leaders from both LAHS and MVHS were put in the “Spotlight” for all they do for their schools. Students spoke to Trustees about their elected roles and committees, the value of contributing to their campuses, what has been most fun to do, and why being student leaders is valuable to them. They also described the many activities in “Diversity Week” underway this week on both campuses.

Hats off to these energetic and dedicated to students, as well as their advisors!
