Mountain View High’s March Student of the Month for March 2019 is Junior David Peters.
An exemplary student, David is enrolled in Trigonometry Honors, AP US History, AP Chemistry, AP Spanish V, American Lit Honors, AP Psychology, and Chamber Orchestra. He is also a big performing arts enthusiast. David has volunteered three consecutive years with Peninsula Youth Theatre’s “Theater in the Park”, a two-week program designed to introduce young children to the basics of theatre and build interest in the performing arts.
Last summer he did a two-week course at Harvard’s Pre-College Program, named “Biological Applications of Microfluidics,” in which he learned a lot about what he wants out of a
college experience. David plans to attend a four-year liberal arts university and major in chemistry, He hopes to be able to continue his passions for music and performing arts alongside his science interests.
On campus, David is involved with the Thespian Club and National Honor Society. In his free time, David makes LEGO stop-animation videos, reads science fiction, and practices his music.
