Who can be fingerprinted?
Anyone whose employer or agency requires them to be fingerprinted may use our service. Employers and agencies will provide a completed "REQUEST FOR LIVESCAN SERVICE" (form BCII8016). Contact your employer or agency if you do not have one. We cannot process your fingerprints without the completed form.
Where do I go?
We are conveniently located at the MVLA Adult School, 333 Moffett Boulevard, Mountain View, between Central Expressway and Middlefield Avenue. We are easily accessible by light rail and train (Castro Station), a major bus route, and close to major highways (Central Expressway and Highways 101 and 85). There is free parking in the rear of the building (entrance off Cypress Point Drive), or you may park on the adjoining streets.
What do I need to bring with me?
Besides the completed "REQUEST FOR LIVESCAN SERVICE" form, you must present valid identification that includes your photograph. Acceptable forms of identification are:
- Driver's License
- California Identification Card
- Military Identification
When can I be fingerprinted?
Our regular hours for fingerprinting are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9:00-11:00am and 2:30-3:20pm by appointment only. Call (650) 940-1333 to make an appointment.
How much does it cost?
Our fee for this service is $23.00. Please verify with your employer or agency whether there will be additional fees that you are responsible for. These fees will be due when you are fingerprinted. For your convenience, the Department of Justice Clearance Fees Schedule is located at: caag.state.ca.us/fingerprints/.
May I pay with a credit card?
Yes! We accept MasterCard, VISA, or cash. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS.
