  • Broken Box Theatre Company presents Kissed the Girls and Made Them Cry by Arlene Hutton. This devised drama follows a group of high school students as they deal with topical teen issues. This production is recommended for mature audiences due to its themes and language.

    Summary: Lies and gossip, power, secrets, teen sex, manipulation, peer pressure, the need to scream, and what teens really want to say...When the student council president throws a house party and photos are posted online, a group of friends get caught up in a series of shifting events that forces them to question what really happened. Kissed the Girls and Made Them Cry creates a powerful collage that examines the teenage experience of sexuality, objectification, shaming, and date rape.

    February 28 through March 2 @ 7 pm with a 2 pm matinee on March 2. Tickets: $5 in advance from the finance office or any Broken Box member; $8 at the door.
