I grew up in the Silicon Valley, after completing my general education at West Valley and Mission College, I moved south to attend University of California, San Diego (UCSD), where I completed a Bachelors of Science degree in Joint Mathematics-Economics, with a minor in Education Studies in 2011. During my time at UCSD, I participated in and held leadership positions in a variety of different social, service and educational clubs, like Triton Social Tennis, Global Water Brigades, Vagina Monologues and Lac Viet Culture Club. Upon receiving my bachelors degree, I continued my education at UCSD, and earned my teaching credential, as well as, a Masters of Education in Teaching and Learning. I specialized in Single Subject Mathematics with an emphasis in Bilingual Education. After completing my program in summer 2012, I moved to Japan, where I lived and taught before returning to Silicon Valley during the spring of 2013.

Through my educational and personal experiences, I have developed a strong sense so social responsibility and an appreciation for collective efforts. I am an advocate for social justice and believe that education is the best tool in which we can shape our society and our future. Through my teaching practices, I hope to create an equitable learning environment in which my students are nurtured my both intellectually and emotionally. My desire is to help my students become a better versions of themselves.
