Ms. Kalinda Price
Welcome to my LAHS Teacher Webpage!
I am Ms. Price and I serve as an Education Specialist here at Los Altos High School. The 2019-2020 school year will be my 19th documented year of teaching not counting my volunteer service time to a variety of academic entities. My undergraduate and graduate years were completed at San Jose State University (SJSU).
While attending SJSU, I obtained my Bachelors in Speech Pathology & Audiology and African American Studies. I also obtained my Masters and Credential in Special Education and Masters and Credential in Counseling Education. I also obtained other minors, certificates, and authorizations under the Special Education Umbrella. While completing my coursework, I worked in a variety of Alternative Education settings and for the San Jose State University GEAR UP program in various middle and high schools located in East San Jose. This year I am responsible for teaching the subjects listed below.
♦ Period 1: Study Skills (9-12th)
♦ Period 2: World Studies (9th)
♦ Period 3: Exp. Read/Write - ERWC (12th)
♦ Period 5: Study Skills (9-12th)
♦ Period 6: World Studies (9th)
At the conclusion of the 2017-2018 school year, I stepped down as the Advisor to the Black Student Union (BSU) so that I could focus on my children and other personal endeavors. I now serve as one of several consultants to BSU. Ms. Kristen Lastra now serves as the Advisor and can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please make contact with her should you have any questions or concerns.
BSU will continue to seek to provide an intellectual, cultural, and social environment for its members and the entire Los Altos Community. Its members will continue to strive for academic excellence and promote cultural awareness among its members. Lastly, this student-run club will continue to exist to encourage a positive image and to support its members in achieving their educational goals.
I look forward to working with you and getting to know you this year. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email or call me if you need further assistance.
