Mountain View Los Altos Union High School District

Welcome to Education Services

We believe our strong record of academic excellence is the result of a combination of fundamental elements:

  • Parents who insist on excellence and who dedicated time daily for the completion of school work and who encourage their students to read
  • Students who give their best, put forth a strong effort and work diligently to advance their learning
  • A Board of Trustees and a Superintendent who believe in creating a climate of excellence, helping each and every student reach his or her true potential
  • Teachers who are well prepared and passionate about their subject, who have access to resources, a wide array of professional development opportunities and support that will make them the best they can be
  • Curriculum designed to prepare students for the future they will face, emphasizing essential skills and concepts, and the challenge of using those skills and concepts across all curricular areas
  • Teaching strategies based on how the brain works and how students learn best,  appropriately differentiated to meet each and every student's need
  • Assessment of both essential learning, and the application of learning in real-world contexts

We invite you to learn more about our programs and our continuous improvement efforts. Thank you for visiting us.
