The technology standards highlighted below are updated regularly.  The MVLA IT department seeks to provide our students and staff with the most robust and up-to-date equipment, software, and other technology tools.

The MVLA network has undergone substantial upgrades over the past year
  • Core Switch:  Cisco 9500 (x2)
  • MDF Switching:  Cisco Meraki MS425
  • IDF Switching:  Cisco Meraki MS390
  • Wireless Access Points:  Cisco Meraki MR55/MR56
 
 Cabling:
    • Single-Mode Fiber throughout the entire district
    • Cat 6A for all wireless access points
    • Cat 5E+ for all wired connections

MVLA classrooms are equipped with the following equipment; some classrooms are still in the process of receiving updated equipment.
 
  • Teacher Computer:  Either a MacBook Pro or Dell Latitude (teachers are all issued devices of their choice)
  • Docking station:  HP EliteDisplay E243d (23.8") Docking Monitor.
  • Classroom Printer (model varies)
  • Document Camera (new standard: HoverCam Solo8+, HoverCam Ultra8)
  • Projection:  Epson Short-throw (1485fi laser) or Sony Laser (VPLPHZ50) Ceiling mounted laser projector
  • Audio:  Lightspeed TopCat

  • i7 Processor
  • 16gb Ram
  • 256gb SSD
  • HDMI, Display Ports, and at least four USB 3.1 Ports)
  • Blutetooth and wireless

  • Processor (Windows i7 / M1 for MacBooks)
  • 16gb Ram
  • 256gb SSD
  • Bluetooh, wireless
  • 13.3" Screen (Mac) | 14" Screen (Windows)
