What is Dance Posse?

Dance Posse - Dance Without Drama: This informal group is being put together by the AVID Students, Mrs. Caramagno, Ms. Hellman, Ms. Mangin, and Mr. Kahl as an alternative to the drama of trying to find a date for Winter Ball and other MVHS dances.  Any student who would like to go to the Ball and later dances with a group of Friends is welcome to join.  We plan to organize dinner at a restaurant before hand and then off to the Ball for dancing and fun without the pressure of romantic entanglements!  Teachers and Peer Leaders will be training Dance Posse Members in how to ask people to dance, how to accept an invitation and how to turn one down gracefully without hurting anyone’s feelings.  We plan to set up the Dance Posse so that members will know that they can ask any other dance posse members to dance without drama.  Dance Posse Leaders will be available to field questions on where to go, what to do, what to wear, and maybe even how to do a few cool dance steps and so on as well.  This will be an INCLUSIVE group.  Teachers and Peer Leaders will set a tone of acceptance, tolerance and camaraderie.
