How to Apply to the Middle College

If you have questions about the information below, call the Middle College office at (650)949-7168 between 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. If you decide that you would like to be considered for the Middle College you must complete the following.

Teacher/Counselor Recommendations.

You must have one teacher and your counselor complete the enclosed recommendations forms. You will need to bring these to the parent/student informational meeting. If you need a recommendation form, ask your school counselor or call the Middle College office.

Mandatory Meeting for Parents and Students

  • When: Wednesday, April 30th, 2008 at 6PM
  • Where: Appreciation Hall Room 1501 at Foothill College
    *Please bring 8 quarters for parking.
  • 6:00-7:00 p.m. Informational meeting
  • 7:00-8:00 p.m. Students will be given one hour to write an interpretive essay. This essay is mandatory. Parents will fill out necessary forms during this time.

What to Bring

  • Both the teacher and counselor recommendation forms.
  • A recent copy of your high school transcript.
  • Social Security Number of prospective student.
  • Doctor/Dentist telephone numbers.

Acceptance Announcements will be sent out by the end of May.

Registering As a Foothill Student

Accepted students must register on line at foothill.edu before the assessment test.

Take the Foothill Placement Test

Students that are accepted into the program must complete the Foothill assessment tests in Math and English. This exam is mandatory for all students entering Foothill College. Students cannot enroll for Fall classes without this test. The exam takes approximately 2.5 hours.
